I made some tweaks based on feedback I got from v1.0. Overall it should make the game a little more playable.
- Fixed a bug where mines were basing their logic off the position of the upper left corner of the player sprite instead of the center of it. They no longer activate late when the player approaches from above, and they now track the center of the player's ship making them easier to lead.
- Mines now pause for slightly longer before seeking
- Mines are removed from play sooner after going off the bottom of the screen. This feels more fair, as they're no longer activating after the player has forgotten about them
- Various changes to the ship handling to make it easier to control:
- Slight increase to drag factor so ship stops more precisely
- Very slightly lower acceleration
- Lower top speed
- Rebalance to the main energy mechanics:
- Gun power levels' energy usages progresses more gradually.
- Lowest tier enemy bullets give slightly less energy per hit so running into them is a little more forgiving.
